Hello!
In a bid to keep you lot involved in all that is TheSite.org, we have yet another question we'd like you to answer for us in the name of research.
Drum roll please...
"Which companies do you think are cool, and which would you like to see sponsoring this site?"
If you tell us why you chose who you chose that would be really helpful.
Thanks muchly
You're all lovely (mostly )
Susie and the rest of TheSite crew

Guinness
The BBC

http://www.thefridaything.co.uk It's a great website!
I'm all out:p
I only really notice companys that are pissing me off... In fact advertising piss's me off
Rizla and Tango seem to be good advertisers, but i don't know enough about the company's to say for certain. CafeDirect seem pretty cool.
ann summers... Shop side is ok, but there "party + sales" model tends to get people into debts they then cannot pay off.
BAD ADVERTISERS / uncool companys :
(Is this cool? Am I cool? How about now? Am i cool now? Well? AM I?..... Sorry, having a "day today" moment)
Coca Cola
Pepsi
Anyone that sends out spam
nestle
Any Bank
Any insurance company
Any company that makes money through helping people sue.
Nike + Rebok + hi-tec + Addidas + anyone that sells a name rather than a product.
AOL - Advertise here and i'll consider closing my account. I wont actually do it, but i'll consider it.
VW - For threatening to sue Mr WHSpliff
NAI
The Daily mail, The Sun, The sport... In fact all tabloids.
To answer where to best advertise, we really need to know who you want to attract.... Age, sex, locallity, class....
And for some more info : How i found out about the site.
A article on a news site about how a charity (the prince's trust I think) had something like 100,000 flyers advertising this place destroyed, after some-one working for the charity had a look on the boards and decided that it wasn't suitable for the youth market (encouraging drugs and sex I think they mentioned).
After reading that i had to look.
Maybe a nationwide graffiti campaign by all current thesite members would do the trick. And its free advertising.
But thanks for being so helpful
They screw everyone over, as do all the big multinationals.
They have loads of money rolling around and would welcome the opportunity to promote themselves on a teenage site.
The financial implications are huge.
Hehehe.
Naw...
I dunno...
Coca Cola... Durex... Burger King... Co-op... Or maybe Greenpeace... or Amnesty International.
Free too small, liable to split condoms for all
club 18-30
VK- and their associated night clubs
durex
coca cola
E4
hmmm not too sure really
I subscribe and I'm a regular on their forums and, although I don't work for them, I sort of know a couple of the people who do and I quite like it.
Other than that.. Lynx?
Heya btw:D
It's not really spam if you don't work for the site is it?
a
Just most people name-dropping a site/brand with their first post tend to be spammers...Im just a cynical sod.:)
Keep those suggestions coming...........
Who exactley do they screw over ?
that was my one damn you!
I said share with US, that means you too
Good suggestion.
Do not get British American Tabacco, or any cigarette company, to sponser you!
I imagine that many of the big clubs would be good, as J said. Drugs awareness groups would be good, but probably need the money themselves.
