Hey everyone!

We're curious - how did you find our Community?

Was it through a friend, social media, a search, maybe another support service, or something else?

    Childline. I was moving on from Childline and I found a link to The Mix somewhere on their website.

    Like others it was through childline. One day their chat service was down, so I had a look through their website and found this. At the time it was intended for 16-25s, but it was a very relaxed age range and I was 13. The chats sounded fun but it took me weeks to actually join one bc I was too scared🤣 my first chat was January 2016. And here I still am🤣

    Found it through my school when I was 13 and made an account but didn’t properly use it until I was 15 when I was on beat and someone told me about the group chats so that’s when I officially joined 💚

    Slightly different to everyone else - but was looking online for places to volunteer in the mental health sector and this came up - best decision i made though <3

    My local GP/adult mental health services/assessment I was told about the mix
    Just a person who likes pop culture and films

    The people who got back to me on the phone about talking therapies spoke about the waitlist, asked if i was under 25, and then advised I check out the mix in the meanwhile. I didn't like the counselling, mainly cause it was webchat based, but i ended up finding boards and chats, liked it and started using it regularly.

    Thank you for your responses folks ! This is so useful for us to hear how you found our support, which we can then use to hopefully reach more young people!

    It sounds like a pretty common way to find us is by being signposted to us from another organisation - super handy for us to know!

    For me, I was just looking for somewhere I could get counselling so I started off in booth and when that finished I looked online and found the mix. I started mix counselling and then about 2 years later I found boards and chats through the mental health team during my assessment
