A Film Called After Life

Hey gang,

Today I am thinking about a film which I watched when I was 17. It is a Japanese film called After Life. It looks at people in the After Life when they have just passed and they get the choice of reliving one memory for the rest of time, as if it is happening for the first time. You will not know you are reliving the memory and it will always be like living in the feeling of that moment forever.

This film is so lovely and featured real people who gave their own genuine answers based on their own lives. Some of the kids chose a big rollercoaster, an elderly woman chose her wedding vows, etc.

I want to ask you all what your moment would be! It's a super tricky question for me, so I wanna hear your ideas. It can be something sentimental, something exciting, something fun.

That's the thing, it could be anything!

And if anyone has seen the film or goes onto watch it, let me know what you think. I don't watch many films but this one really stuck with me.

Ooo this is very fun @Leyla

Is it really lame if I say my first thought is I wish I could re-watch certain films/tv shows or re-read certain books for the first time again? Like the ones that really stuck with me

For films I would obviously love to re-watch How To Train Your Dragon, Twilight and Pride and Prejudice for the first time again (all of my favourite films).

For TV shows I'd re-watch Fleabag, Stath Lets Flats and Sherlock.

And then I'd love to re-read It's Kind Of a Funny Story, The Comfort Book, and This is Going to Hurt.

But on a more sentimental note I'd also love to re-live any memory with my late nanna (maybe baking cookies, just sitting and having a cuppa with her, or painting her nails), and to have a cuddle with my late dog Ollie!

Gosh there's sooo many to choose from it's such a hard choice
