I feel like a scared little child trapped in a pathetic 21 year old body

    Could I just ask what you meant by ‘conforted’ please?

    @Redemption
    As awkward as it would be, I would love to just ugly cry in someone’s arms as they just reassure that all the negative things I’ve experienced doesn’t define me as a person, and that there are many people who love me

    No matter how you look, it doesn't define you and I'm sure you look fine. Unfortunately people are just nasty @bignosegirly0 , big virtual hugs from me.

    I am exactly the same down to the age. In my case I feel like a scared little child because I feel unsafe all the time and my body reacts as such whether it be startled by the smallest sounds or overthinking my word choices to try and prevent people from getting angry with me (I have CPTSD). It's a very isolating experience and I'm sorry you're going through it too. I wish I had that safe space where I could be vulnerable and ugly cry as well; even when we're told to "reparent ourselves" by being that space for ourselves it does nothing to alleviate the isolation or give us the relief that could come with being seen, heard and shown compassion by another person.
