Emergency doctors appointment

So I filled in the triage form this morning for my doctors because Iโ€™ve had my period since August 1st and itโ€™s not stopping ๐Ÿฅฒ Iโ€™m on the pill and usually it stops it but it hasnโ€™t been. Iโ€™ve been getting so dizzy to and the worst abdominal pain. So I have an appointment at 2:10pm today

    Update, theyโ€™ve swapped me pills and I have to have blood test tomorrow morning ๐Ÿฅฒ my blood pressure is low

    @Katie they arenโ€™t sure why itโ€™s happening but theyโ€™ve put me on the other pill to see if that will stop the bleeding, she said your meant to have breaks but due to the bleeding with me I have to do it straight for 63 days until the review and then in the meantime if itโ€™s not stopped after a week then I have to go back ๐Ÿฅฒ

    Iโ€™m glad I went, I thought I was kinda just being dramatic but now i know something is wrong ๐Ÿฅฒ

    Fingers crossed the other pill will stop it for you @River. You've done really well to go to your appointment and speak to them about it. And I do think if there's anything concerning you health wise, it's always better to get it checked just to be safe! Do they think the other pill will help with the dizzy spells and abdominal pain too?

    @Katie they said the blood test can figure out if Iโ€™m anemic again which I so bloody hope not, the last time I was on iron tablets and whilst I canโ€™t say specifically as something dangerous happened when I was last on them and now I canโ€™t face them so I really hope Iโ€™m not needing them

    How are you with blood tests @River ? I know some people aren't a fan of them at all but hopefully they'll be able to give you some answers. I wonder if there would be any other options other than the iron tablets, especially as you've had a bad experience on them from when you last had to take them. Is your doctor aware of what happened when you took them before?

    I've just popped in a spoiler @River just in case anyone doesn't like blood tests and might feel a little queasy but I feel the same as you River! I find them quite satisfying and I like watching them haha - I think we're a small minority though

    Ah that's good they know River so at least they have your medical history and past experience. Hopefully you won't have to wait ages for your results too after they've done your blood test!
