Goodbye (turning 26)

I just checked in to find out how long I have before my account is closed and it turns out it’s today… I knew this was coming and I thought I’d come to terms with it but I’m honestly crying right now. I don’t know what will happen to my posts (the default is they stay up with my username attached right? I’ve requested this but don’t know if my message will be seen in time) and I feel like I’m losing so much even though I haven’t actually posted that much.
Anyway… just wanted to say bye and thank you for everything, to everyone who’s ever sent a kind comment or message especially. I probably won’t have time to go back and read them again now (or at least they’ll be hard to find) but I promise they really did mean so much and helped me a lot. I’ll miss all of you.

    @RainbowPenguin I'm gonna miss you mate. Even though I haven't known you that much here, this site is a constant source of support, and seeing others going through similar struggles is reassuring to know you aren't alone in it. Can I ask if you have any other mental health support sites available to you?

    edit: btw, don't think you've gotten away without a happy birthday message for tomorrow

    I dont think ive seen you around much @RainbowPenguin but I'm really really sorry you've aged out of here ❤️. I wish you the absolute best of luck with everything, there's a site called Qwell that might be available to you too, it has an online community and live chat.

    @RainbowPenguin I'm on there too. I find it different from the mix myself. But at least you still have support. How are you finding it?

    And this will sound silly, but I'm currently building my own support site like this actually, as there seems to be so very few post 25 choices besides those two, and there is a strong sense of community loss when people leave the mix I think. A place for Mix leavers and anyone wanting support really, to ease that sense of community loss. It's still a fair while off being finished though, with stuff like DBS checks, official paperwork and safeguarding policies, but i'm working to get it up and running eventually. I'll post on side by side in future about it, and on here if i'm allowed. That way when people leave the mix, they still can be able to support and get support from other mix leavers. But for now, i don't know any other recs besides what redemption suggested and that.

    @RainbowPenguin if it helps, I think the accounts have to be closed manually by staff, so they should get your message before that happens. Means your posts should stay as they are. I could go on a rant about the account closures but I won’t. You’re right in that it becomes hard to find messages that others have sent you.

    @RainbowPenguin I'm going to miss you lots on here. You been a great member on here and its been lovely chatting to you as well. I'm sure like @independent_ says your messages will still probably be on here as your account would have to be manually closed by staff. Sending you big hugs right now. How are you finding side by side?

    Thank you everyone for your lovely comments 💜 Am feeling better today and all ur kind words rlly helped with that. And yeah @Amy22 SBS is pretty good, maybe not quite as community-like as this though(?).
    Anyway this will probably be my actual last post so just going to say best wishes and thank you again, to everyone including moderators, for all your support and kindness. Love you all xxx

    Wow that sounds really cool! I'll keep an eye out, best of luck with that. And yeah i like SBS, think the name is a bit boring though lol... also thank you for the birthday good wishes 🥳
