So I'm finally back in my reading phase and I'm looking for book recommendations !

At the moment I'm reading this Japanese translated fiction called "We'll prescribe you a cat" which is basically where people struggling with their mental health go to a clinic and get prescribed a cat. You may or may not know I'm a huge cat lover (I have 2!), and my boys bring me so much joy so this book is so wholesome so far.

What's your favourite genre and what are you reading right now?

@Katie At the moment I'm in still a bit of a reading slump right now, I've tried using my local library instead of buying books because I've literally no space to put them all (I think I've got over 100+ books). I struggle with my focus in general now for reading it's so bad 😭 cause like during lockdown I read like tons and tons.

Omg that sounds like such an awesome book, if only that was a real thing they did irl because I love cats so so much. Japanese fiction is so good too, I've seen a bit of that online.

I tend to read a lot of fantasy, dark fantasy, dark academia, horror, contemporary YA etc

I'm the same I'm either in a reading slump or I spend all my time reading @Amy22 ! Wow that's a lot of books! I tend to get most of mine from an online second-hand shop but I've also recently joined my local library so I'm looking forward to seeing what they have (and saving my money!).

The book was so good I finished it yesterday! It was broken down into 5 stories of different people being prescribed different cats. Was so unique and there were little illustrations of the cats on the pages - would totally recommend!

Ah I've not delved into fantasy books but people keep recommending it to me. What's your favourite fantasy one?
