It’s okay to want connection, whether that’s through friendship or romance, and both types of relationship can be meaningful in different ways. If you’re feeling drawn to dating right now but don’t currently have close friendships, that doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong.
At the same time, however, friendships can also offer a strong foundation for emotional support, learning about boundaries, and feeling understood, which can then help in dating connections too.
