    Hi Nem! :)

Thank you for opening up about this, feelings can be so conflicting and heavy, and you are totally valid for feeling however you feel. Relationships with parents can be super difficult to navigate and feel all-consuming. Art is an amazing way to channel how you're feeling and put those big feelings on a more tangible surface, it can feel so cathartic, right?

Just so we have a better idea of the bigger picture, would it be okay for you to explain a bit about your relationship with your mum and what she is like?

We're here for you and want to hear about as much as you are comfy sharing :) You have every right to wish that you felt happy, those feelings are completely understandable

@nem I understand that you would want to do counselling with somewhere familiar like The Mix, how do you feel about your current counsellor? I know that you just said your support system is very bad

I was wondering if you could explore with me a bit more about what your relationship is like with your mum and what makes it feel terrible for you? Thank you for opening up!

@nem , how are you doing today? Thank you so much for these posts, and I just want to echo what @Leyla has said here. It sounds extreamly hard to be coping with these feelings towards your mum, and to not feel properly supported.

How would you describe your current counsellor? What are some of the things they do / don't do that make you feel unsupported?

If you would like to share more about your relationship with your mum too, we're here to litsen without judgement.

    My counsellor is fine

That's positive that they're fine overall. What's it felt like talking with them about your mental health recently? You deserve to not have to go through this alone.
If you feel safe sharing, what are some of the kinds of things that make you wish your mum was dead? I wonder if there is anything that might have triggered the wish for her to disappear?
