How do people do this

I have anxiety and ocd and recently I’ve become obsessed with something. I am a perfectionist and want to get everything right all of the time. How do people know what clothes to buy when there is so many shops and products and brands. Literally how do you decide. How do you decide what makeup to buy, what shade, what product, what brand? I don’t know what brushes to use and what products to buy. There is too many products in stores and I find it so overwhelming and usually my mum gets me them but I need to start to do it myself. I’m 20 years old it’s embarrassing. How do people just seem so perfectly put together? How do you know what fake tan to use and how to put it on? How to dress yourself and even what underwear to put on and wear? I genuinely am so anxious about all of this and I sound like a child. I feel like I don’t know how to do adult things like buy stuff. How can I make these tasks seem easier?

You asked a few questions so I will work through them for you 💕
- How do people know what clothes to buy when there is so many shops and products and brands.
There is no right or wrong clothes to buy, just whatever is comfortable for you, everyone has there own sense of style
- How do you decide what makeup to buy, what shade, what product, what brand?
With makeup there’s so many things you can get, people often buy loads and make a routine but honestly it’s what you want to get, sometimes trial and error can help; you can also watch makeup tutorials to get a sense of the basics you can get, it’s different for everyone - I often just use the basics of concealer, mascara!
- I don’t know what brushes to use and what products to buy
With brushes it could vary however most of the time the same brushes work for each other: if your say blending in something that is all over your face then a bigger brush would be quicker but other than that that’s it really
Brands don’t really matter some people just stick to one brand or some might tolerate one brand to another
You said how do people seem so put together: I just wanted to open up the idea that often people fake the way they are or hide there flaws too in many ways like social media if people use make up often they will use filters too 💕
