Shout costs money?

I started a chat with Shout, a message came up on my phone there's a charge for the service, I think everything on Shouts site says it's free but it said on my phone charges will apply and it's important it doesn't show up on my phone bill because family might see it, I prefer to keep it confidential and I have had enough issues with them recently. Also I have been starting a Shout chat but multiple times in a row I forgot and felt like I'm wasting people's time.

That comes up for me but it was free. Do you know what provider/network your with? On shout website it lists network providers it's free for which I thibk is majority, if yours is listed in there it's free and no need to worry. Its just your phone sending an alert because it's a short code number so it would normally be but not got shout.

Sometimes when the people most like you don't love you, it is a hurt that can cause the greatest pain, and this pain can lead you to hate everything.

As a former shout volunteer, you have no idea the number of times people would text in and ask about this message. It should always be free, your phone might say it isn’t because it thinks it’s a premium number (most of those short numbers are). But shout definitely should be free and if you are charged, you’d probably be able to email them or your mobile network.

As for the missing the message, that was very common as well. In fact so common that I expected it, especially on daytime shifts as people might have got sidetracked, or on night shifts when they might have fallen asleep. I never minded, they are supposed to check in with you twice to give you a chance to answer and then close the chat with a third message. I was always very careful to check before sending the closing message that the person hadn’t answered.

@Invisible_me it took quite a few hours at night but I tried in the day time and I think it took way way shorter to get a chat like half an hour to an hour. Thanks for asking, can I asking how your dizziness is, have you had it again or has it not returned? Sorry if you didn't want to be reminded of it, just wanted to check if you're ok.

Daytime is certainly quicker to get through @Redemption the queue was often quite short around this time of the day once the backlog from the night shift had been cleared. I used to do 10-12pm and there was often only 1 or 2 people in the queue, though i appreciate this may have changed now.
