Feeling numb

With things going on in life, today I’ve kind of been feeling numb. I’ve been into cars all my life, and while I’ve had other interests come and go, my passion for cars was always constant it never disappeared. I feel numb where I dont feel intrested in them that much anymore or anything. That’s why it feels so strange now, because even that interest seems to have faded. It’s not that I dislike cars; I just don’t feel interested in them either. I feel in this neutral state not excited, but not completely bored either atm. I might just be tired, though. I had to be up early today, and after waking up early and struggling to fall back asleep, I finally started to settle only to have to get up again shortly after. It might be that lack of rest could be playing a big part in why I’m feeling this way. I'm sorry to keep complaining about everything all the time.

    Hey @Redemption
It makes sense that a sudden loss in interest in cars would be quite unsettling for you. You're right though sometimes when people are tired or stressed we can become apathetic to things we used to love. How are you feeling today? Is there any particular reason you're struggling to sleep?

I get the same feeling. Relying on one passion for so long with so much stress, over time, it stops being a lifeline bringing you enjoyment and starts being just average, neither here nor there, which is why it becomes something that disinterests you, which is scary when it's one of the passions you've had. And don't apologise for complaining mate, if you wanted, you could post 1000 different complaints and you'd be perfectly fine to do so. Vent all you need to. Anyway, for me, as hard as it was, I sort of had to find new passions to occupy time, even things like video games, so it wasn't 24/7 relying on one passion and i could mix it up. I started to get some sense of enjoyment back into my other passion by not leaning on it so much, but yeah. Again, it could just be that you're just stressed, but from my experience, i stopped relying on one single passion for enjoyment in life, and diversified finding new passions as well, as odd as it sounds. Again, i could be entirely wrong in your case, but this was the case for me and maybe something you might want to look at.

Hey @Matthew_04 thanks so much for your reply it's not ideal losing a life long passion but it was only temporary, I feel it's coming back. I'm ok, hope you are too, I've just been overwhelmed with a lot in life that's why I struggle to sleep sometimes. Cheers anyway bro

Thanks mate, I really appreciate you saying that. It means a lot to know someone gets it and doesn't judge. What you said about finding new passions and not relying on just one really makes sense it's something I think I needed to hear. It's reassuring to know you've been through it and found ways to bring a bit of enjoyment back. Cheers for being so supportive.
