I don’t have a good relationship with food I think my old food struggles were down to bullying but I healed from that side I think

When I was 0-4 I was barely fed so could that be why my relationship with food is bad? Like I just don’t like eating nor do I feel I deserve food

    Hi Rose,

I was wondering if this is something you have explored with your support network? You are the expert in your life and experiences, so your opinion would hold a lot of weight as to what you think could be causing it. You definitely do deserve food but I hear the reason it would be hard to feel that for yourself

@Leyla my SMHP and dr suggested it because we would chat about food as it’s on my records as struggling with it and they think it’s based on trauma. Camhs labelled it as an ED which I think it sort of borderlined that at first but there more to it

    hey @Rose113 🙂

it takes a lot of courage to open up about stuff like this so i’m really proud of you for sharing!!

honestly, it makes total sense that your early experiences could still be affecting how you feel about food now. if you weren’t properly fed as a child, that can really shape your relationship with food and even how you see yourself.

it’s good that you feel like you’ve healed from some parts, but healing can happen in layers, and it’s ok if there’s still stuff to work through. you do deserve to eat, and you deserve to feel safe and ok with food, but i know it’s not as easy as just eating and being ok with food.

    you’ve got this <3
