in Work & Study
As you all know. I’ve been out of work for a while, but I’ve tried different things that unfortunately didn’t work out. Before that, I spent four years in college—some parts were tough, but I stuck with it. There were quite a few people at college who didn’t work alongside their studies, which made me feel a bit behind at times. I’ve had a few setbacks over the years, including dropping out, being unfairly kicked off a course, and struggling to find direction. I’ve done confidence-building courses through college and a work programme, and while my confidence has improved, I still feel like I need more support—especially with interviews. I just want to move forward now, get into work, and stop feeling like I’m falling behind others. I know I’ve done things like leaflet delivery and funding my own car, but being compared to others still gets to me. I’m just hoping something positive comes from what I’m trying now.
