My New Role!!

Hi all! A few of you may know that I was looking for a new job, and I am happy to announce that I found one... here at The Mix! I love this community and have been here for a long time, so I wanted to get involved behind the scenes and am looking forward to my new adventure. I will primarily be based over on the new Peer Chat service that will be launching soon to replace the Helpline, but will be here at times to help out, especially in the lead up to the launch of that service :) So you may see my name cropping up in places you're not as used to, such as replying to DMs or board posts!!

I was just thinking recently you haven't been around often, when I just saw your profile picture in community announcements, I thought it was going to another farewell post from you as other mods have finished off here. I'm aware you've been looking for a new job, heard you were working lates, seemed quite overwhelming for you. I'm so happy to see you in your new chapter here, I'm so proud of you, you've been absolutely incredible supporting me the past few years, I've shared heavy topics or things that I would be hesitent to share in real life to people, loved it honestly been amazing every single time, there's never been a moment where you haven't been amazing. You've been amazing in supporting all of us, I know Friday chat threads were overwhelming at times but despite that you've still continued to push on with it being the amazingly proud person you are. You absolutely deserve this opportunity to work for this community that you love and to absolutely smash it, you will too. Im guessing you won't be on chat threads now but even if not I'm so so excited to see you round other places like here on boards and the new Peer to peer service, it's going to be absolutely amazing.


    Massive massive CONGRATULATIONS leyla, it's inspiring, you've done so well. I remember you on chats when I first joined here similar time to when you first joined, I enjoyed them chats, now I enjoy chat sessions so so much more with you, I regularly have been sat here waiting patiently for sessions. Anyway you will absolutely smash your role here, I'm sure of it. CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 , so massively proud of you, I'm so so excited for you. Absolutely amazing to see this, you should be incredibly proud of yourself. Hopefully this Peer to peer support service opens really really soon. You have done so well. Seeing staff on your profile looking amazing. See you around champ ❤️ !!!!!!

    @TheNightmare Woah thank you so much, that's all so genuinely kind and thank you for spending time writing that, I hope everyone knows how much I love this community and I will always do my best for this place. As far as I know, Friday threads are now on Sunday instead, but I should be doing some chats in the next couple of weeks even if it isn't the threads. It'll be good to see you and everyone else around where I can :) hopefully the launch will be soon, we're working hard behind the scenes to get it running!

    @Katie We started volunteering at the same time and now we're reunited as staff, hooray!!!

    @leyla26 no problem, it's the least I could do for how you've supported me here, told you about a lot, my highs and lows, hopefully highs from here . Chat threads are yh Sundays now, I was a bit worried are we going to see you any more around but yh looking forward to it all. Been sad seeing mods leave and the community but great news.

    @TheNightmare we’re all doing ok thank you, or as ok we can be. My sister has applied for a few things recently so hopefully one of those is successful for her.

    My washing is now proudly placed on the line, so I’m done for a while! Yayyy!
