To my dear and darling chatters,

It’s Sand who finally made a boards account to say something she never wanted to say… Goodbye.
I joined the Mix just before *drumroll* my 18th birthday, and now almost 8 years on, I’ve decided it’s time.

Why am I leaving? Because it’s not The Mix anymore. I don’t need to say what Em, Maia and others wrote – you all know. It’s just not home anymore. And I don’t want to destroy how special it has been for me, myself and I by continuing to stay.

Guys, peeps, folks, thank you. Thank you so damn much. You’ve saved my life. Without the Mix, I wouldn’t be here. Knowing that there was a place I could laugh and cry (sometimes at the same time), and just be me has changed me forever.

The Mix has followed me across countries – I’ve modded while in the US on holiday, in South Africa where I used to live and now in Israel where I am now. I will never forget this place. I will never forget all of you.

I don’t know what else I’m supposed to say other than say that I am very legitimately crying. I’ll miss you all.

I wish every single one of you only the best in life – stay strong, be proud of yourself no matter what and even in your darkest moments. You are loved even if it might not feel like it sometimes. And most of all, just know you’re not alone. I am so honoured to have met you.

    @Sand_the_Mod Omg I can't believe your leaving so soon but I can totally understand why you have decided to move on. Honestly you have been such a fantastic mod and I wouldent know where I would.be without you to be fair because you have supported me through so much and helped me when I had a really low moment in my life, and the mix kind of helped. However, I know that the mix ultimately hasn't been the same as of recently and it doesn't have that homely feel to it anymore.

    I'll always remember our lovely conversations and chats on the group chats especially the fun moments too. They hold a special place in my heart and I will still hold them there.

    Honestly thank you so much for everything you have done for us all here at the mix because you have been super fantastic and super helpful. I hope your new adventures are just as amazing and interesting as well.

    @Sand_the_Mod No I think I'm gonna cry too. We can cry together. It's Elle here, one of the last OG members left, and you are the only remaining OG mod. I'm so sad you're leaving. From that first chat when your name was accidentally revealed on the boards, all our laughs, many many cups of tea and cat pictures, your time in circle and under 16s chat, just know how appreciated that is. I'll raise a glass (of coffee for now, but wine when I get chance) to many fun times. Take care and I hear you on what's going on, I totally hear you (good job for bypassing the geofencing btw)! <3

    Edit: remember we were trying to guess your age a few years ago? Well now we know!
