So I was on the bus this morning (the main bus cos I went to college late) and this guy started chatting to me (he’s 19 btw) and he asked for my number lol and I gave it him and then he asked if we could go on a date eeeek I’m to scared to go on a date with him because I’m shy and awkward.
TW~ SA
Last time I went on a date was in high school and that was when I was SA by the guy I was with at the time so it makes me hesitant 😕

Do you know this person? Would you feel safe to?
I don't mean to apprehend in this situation and obviously do what you feel is best but it's a bit weird if someone you font know and randomly meet on the bus asks for your number and directly go on date?
I don’t really find it weird. You can get to talking to someone and enjoy their company and want to meet up again. It’s a much better and probably safer way than online dating 😂
That said, only go if you’re comfortable. And if you wanna feel more safe meet up somewhere in public

It is totally valid that dating might feel daunting, particularly after your expereince in High School of SA. It sounds like you're being kind to yourself and going at your own pace, which is what's most important
There doesn't have to be any set 'timeline' to these things!
