I feel stupid

Was going to be doing an assessment with kellyheroes today but then I found out I’d have to talk even tho it was on zoom so I backed out and then she asked me if I’ve ever had counselling cos that would require to talk and I said yeah but they made me feel like my words were stupid so I’ve always found it easier to type/write.

So now stupid me is feeling embarrassed and ashamed waiting for a reply which she will just say can’t get any support from them

I thought because they have a messaging service then they could do the counselling and stuff messaging but I guess not…I’m stupid

Omg I actually hate this so much!! I possibly have selective mutism (they refuse to diagnose it if you’re autistic) which means sometimes I literally can’t speak. I cant access help because I can’t talk. It’s so awful if they say they can’t help you if you can’t talk to them. It’s not fair. I dont know why people don’t think about it being difficult to speak, especially about mental health stuff. It’s so frustrating. You’re not stupid, I promise.

Hey @Rose113 I hear you that you'd think if they have a messaging service they might be able to offer other support in this format too. Have you had a response from her yet about whether they're able to offer this?

I also hear that you feel stupid but I promise you you're not. Struggling with being able to talk openly is a real thing and doesn't always come easy. You deserve support and I really hope you're able to get it
