I don’t even know what to do anymore

Someone contacted me on TikTok about some information about someone and it’s just left me feeling so shocked, confused and I guess scared. I don’t know who to talk to about it, I can’t talk to places like childline in case they call the police on me but I have no idea how to handle this situation. I can’t go into it on here either because it may trigger and might be against guidelines. I just feel like crying

    I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through that - I'm sending you a warm hug <3 It must be frightening but please don't bear it alone. I remember being in a situation with information that could help another person, but I was afraid about what would happen to me. I'm not sure what your situation is, but just know that you are supported and there are people who can look after you at times like these. You've probably done nothing wrong at all, so don't be scared to reach out to those who can help if you think it's the right thing to do and believe it can help someone- just breathe and talk it through slowly. Is there someone responsible who you trust that you could speak to and ask for some guidance about what to do such as a family member or close friend? Services like childline are there to take the weight off you, and make sure that you're safe and okay. I hope you've been feeling better since posting - lots of love.

    This sounds really difficult to go through @Rose113 and it can feel so overwhelming when we feel there's no one we can talk to about these things. You've been really brave to post here and we'll do all we can to help <3

    If you did want to drop The Mix a DM, I'm more than happy to take a read of what's happened and let you know if you could share on the discussion boards here or how to post in a way that would be safe. I can also have a think of places you could reach out to for help. Is that something you'd find helpful to do together?

    Another option could be to report the message to TikTok if it's making you feel scared, their moderation teams might be able to do something to help as well <3
    Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤
