A goodbye from me ❤️

Hey everyone,

I have some news to share with you all. At the end of this month I'm going to be leaving The Mix

I’m taking a bit of a career break to travel around New Zealand - somewhere I've always wanted to go to! After that I’m hoping to try something new for a job and stay in the charity sector because I love it so much

Thinking about how my journey at The Mix first started, it was 8 years ago! I was a young person myself wanting to volunteer and help other people, and The Mix has been a huge part of my life ever since. Growing up I always wanted to make a difference and help others, and I’ve never had a job that I’ve loved this much! The last 8 years really have flown by which is another reminder of just how much I've enjoyed each day here.

I feel so lucky to have found such a special place here managing our community. I've loved helping to make our support groups and discussion boards as safe and helpful as possible. It's meant a lot to me to see how much our services help you all and it's been amazing to be part of that. I’m so proud of the community we’ve built together and the impact you've all had on each other. Every day I’ve been inspired by your courage and resilience. You all make me so proud, and I’ll never forget that or forget any of you

I've also had the best team to work alongside too so I wanted to give a big shout out to @JustV @ella @Gemma and @Italia for being the nicest people to work with everyday. I know they'll do a wonderful job to keep looking after everything once I leave.

My last day will be on the 30th of September which is very soon! I’ll make sure to spend some time on the boards this week to say goodbye to you all. If chats are back open next week, you'll see me there on Monday evening for my last day - I'll keep you all updated if we're opening that night. It will be lovely to chat to you all to say goodbye properly

Thank you for being so wonderful and amazing. I’m going to miss you all so soo much!

Thank you all so so much for the incredibly kind and thoughtful messages here. I've been reading them all throughout the last week and you've been been so so kind and I will remember them forever. It feels so strange for it to be my last day at The Mix today, especially after it's been a big part of my life for so long! I'm really going to miss you all so very much

I know a few of you might be wondering who is taking over my role and the team should have more of an update on that very soon in the coming weeks. We’ll always be a team here and I know they’ll keep doing an amazing job looking after the community even after I’ve left.
