More woe for Scottish Football. Clydebank FC are no more, brought out by Airdrie Utd, a newly formed club born out of the ashes of Airdrieonians who went bust earlier this year.

Its a shame really that the clubs have to rely on TV deals for their survival. We all know how fickle the media types are.
We look at the English League and worry for our smaller clubs, but the scottish teams are on a similar financial standing as our non-league teams, so you have to worry about the future of the lower leagues up there.
THere's certainly going to be a few more of these stories over the next few years...
I've just been reading the local paper to find that Kidderminster Harriers are better off this year than last year. Last year the TV rights were to ITV Digital and now SKy has the games with more to be paid for each live game...
Just look at the monopoly they have on football now, or at least UK football...
Thank god their whole business is dependant on Sky Sports subscriptions...
Apparently the wages in Italian have almost doubled in the last few years but their income has remained the same, and the crowds have dwindled significantly...
Many of the top players have been offered to other teams (mainly english) on season loans because of this!
