Struggling to sleep

I was stressed all night in bed I couldn’t sleep properly, I was stressing through the night. I'm still a bit now stressed and it can happen at nights often. I struggle to sleep often because of my worrying I do just worry too much and I sometimes stress. Im not going to call it anxiety as I have not been diagnosed but I do worry a lot. I have thought I might need counseling to reduce this, its genuinely something that takes courage that you can't get overnight though. I just don’t know how to just be more positive. I have had this issue for a long time and I used to go to college with no sleep because by the time I got to sleep I had to be up.

@TheNightmare I completely understand how you feel because I am going through the same thing. It really does take a toll on your mental health, and because you are tired you feel moody etc and exhausted.
I think you are right, anxiety does play a role into.
From personal experience, I have tried using lavender pillow spray which does help to calm me a bit.
Therapy could definitely help as well- as most of the time these things are psychological.
I would also advise only using your bed for sleep etc. Keep your room as dark as possible.
Do not use your bed for anything else- because your body cannot establish the difference between sleep and not sleep.
Caffeine is a big thing too- try and limit at least 5 hours before you sleep.
    Hope this helps :)
