  I’m sharing this under the promise that it won’t come back to bite me on the bum. Not a prison, but a police custody suite. It was a horrible, demoralising, undignified experience that haunts me every day. Stay out of that system if you can and be careful if you’re ever in MH crisis - they might just take you to one (this is what happened to me)

  Not much fun.
  
  Though I never got a custodial sentence I did spend 2 weeks on remand when I was 19. Was not a pleasant experience and quite scary.
