I guess continuing my money-themed poll series: have you or your family used payday loans, loan sharks, or illegal loans of any kind? (even moderators can't see who responds to the poll)

Not looking to rat on anyone obviously, just curious because I know a lot of people these days get caught out by payday loans or other lending practices which are arguably predatory. They can be really slippery slopes but a lot of people can fall into them out of necessity in hard times.

All behaviour is a need trying to be met.

    I knew someone loosely connected to my family who had some trouble with payday loans (I can't remember which, there were so many companies doing them!) and ended up getting help from the financial ombudsman - which apparently was quite focused on payday loan issues for a while.
    All behaviour is a need trying to be met.
    The truth resists simplicity.
