Hello Mixorians!
The Community Champions and I have been working on creating some new rank tiers for the discussion boards. We used to have bronze, silver, and gold, with these post counts:
- Bronze: 0 posts
- Silver: 1,000 posts
- Gold: 10,000 posts
One of the problems with this setup is that the spacing is very uneven. Once you hit Silver, you're waiting a looong time to get to Gold, if you ever get there at all (10k is a lot of posts!)
So we wanted to rejig the system to make sure there are new tiers to reach under 10k, and to make sure members who have very high post counts are rewarded with something extra special.
Here's what we came up with:
- Bronze: 0 posts
- Silver: 1,000 posts
- Gold: 3,000 posts
- Platinum: 5,000 posts
- Diamond: 7,000 posts
- Ruby: 10,000 posts
And here's how they look:

- Bronze: Bronze background (like a metallic brown) with bright white text
- Silver: Silver background with bright white text
- Gold: Gold background with bright white text
- Diamond: Diamond / light blue with a dark grey text
- Platinum: Dark grey / platinum background with bright white text
- Ruby: Deep ruby red with bright white text
These designs aren't final. The Community Champions and I did what we could on this, but (as always) we'll be tweaking and updating this based on wider community feedback.
