    Tough question there @ellie2000! It's basically a high speed train line that links London with cities in the North. It's not due to be completed until around 2030 and opinion seems pretty split on it, but personally I think the UK needs better rail infrastructure so I think it'll be good for us when it's finished. Whether it's worth the mounting costs its accruing is a different question.

    Not sure how it would ruin country life - where did you hear that?

    I no ppl in rural areas, where it's quiet and fields of animals. At night I walk passed where it's being built and it's lit up by really bright lights. N wat made me wonder is a show on a Sunday morning asked it and tht made me think.
    The answers they got from the phones were nonsense and I thought they were very very wrong tbh
