Coronavirus Recovery

Hi guys

My GP and I are pretty sure I have had coronavirus and am now recovering (haven’t had it tested and confirmed so that’s the caveat)... I wanted to start a discussion in case anyone had any questions or concerns and/or needed support when experiencing symptoms.

Obviously nothing medical but I had horrible anxiety when I started to experience symptoms and didn’t know who to talk to / what to expect so hopefully we can share some info and experiences here.

Take care everyone

    Heyy,

    glad youre doing better now!

    what symptoms did you have?

Its interesting cause where my older sister is temparly working is a young persons unit and where most of the patients have been tested positive for coronavirus but their symptoms vary. The first had the typical temp and cough but that was only for one day and then they felt fine. And the others was just really tired. Or had a sore throat. They're are better now. (Hopefully can share that) But it is weird how it affects people so differently
“And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind. You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley

Thanks Shaunie. Agree I’ve heard loads of different things from people who have had it / suspected to had it. Never mind what we hear on the news too! Mine started with a sore throat, then came fatigue and cough. I didn’t have a temperature at all.

Really difficult because I googled it, as everybody would, and it was only after speaking to my GP (which I was reluctant to do coz didn’t wanna waste their time) that I stopped worrying. Lots of scaremongering going on online for sure.

I’m ok, thank you for asking. Just tired in the evenings and coughing still but a lot better than last week.

I’m alright thank you, I’ve got a cough which I didn’t have at first, no temperature or anything. I’m mainly very tired, but I’m sure that will pass eventually.

Sending hugs and get well soon wishes to you
