Why is it so difficult for me
I’ve always had anxiety when it comes down to meeting up with someone I was romantically involved with but growing up it became a lot harder than when I was in secondary school. Because of my poor mental health this past year I stayed clear of relationships. But even someone mentioning meeting up sends me into an anxiety attack, a couple of times to the point of vomiting. I sometimes get anxious because I might’ve given someone the idea that we’d be together when that wasn’t my intention. The word relationship gives me anxiety. Why is it so difficult for me??

Hello @mol,
That's really sad that you face this problem and I can imagine that it brings you a lot of inconveniences. Didn't you think to talk maybe with psychologist about it? If you feel anxious seems like you are really scared of something and I guess it would be really helpful to understand what it is exactly. There is always reason for such emotions and if it influences your health it's really important to pay attention and to try to go in depth which is obviously better to do with some professional help.
Or maybe you have already some ideas what can be the reason?
This sounds really tough for you - I think everyone finds dating and relationships really difficult anyway but sounds like its a really hard experience for you.
The Mix have a few good articles which hopefully will help:
