Sun burn tips

mags98mags98 Posts: 287 The Mix Regular
I saw a similar thread about staying safe in the sun which made me think a thread about ways to help with sun burn or sun stroke might also be useful.

What are your ways to cope with sun burn or sun stroke?

I'd say aloe vera is always a good shout. As weird as it may sound, I also found plain yogurt (such as greek yogurt) to work wonders at cooling and help healing the skin.

“And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind. You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley

Banana Boat's Aloe Vera gel is my holy grail aftersun product! You can buy big bottles of it on Amazon for really cheap. I always stick a bottle in the fridge and put it on post-shower after being in the sun all day.

I love this thread too, aloe vera is normally what we use if you keep it in the fridge its normally is a bit easier to use and can keep the sun burnt area cooler for longer.
Some people think I am unhappy. I'm not. I just approach silence in the world that never stops talking.
