in Work & Study
I'm curious, do all mental health workers including support and social workers get trained in first aid, mobility assistance etc?

I'm a support worker, During my induction period i was trained in the following:
*Food Hygiene.
*First Aid
*Safeguarding Children
*Equality and Diversity
*Health and wellbeing
*FireSafety
*Health and Safety.
*Non aggressive physical and pyschological restraints.
*Mental Capacity act
*Depreveation of liberty safeguarding
*Infection Control
*Epilepsy
*Medication
*Manual Handeling
I wasenrolled on a lot more but i kinda.....quit.
If this helps you're question?
Is mobility assistance part of manual handling? And to be honest that looks like a course list that's common to almost all care service providers, not just mental health or even not just healthcare. For example, I know care home workers do a very similar set of training courses to that too.
