Positive thinking

Things which help me get through stressful times are:

The sayings "when life throws you a lemon, make lemonade" and "live well, laugh often, love much". Setting myself goals & putting on feel good songs or remembering funny moments. I find -you're never too old- building lego rather therapeutic, for some reason.

Which method(s) do others on here use as a coping mechanism?

Great thread- thanks for sharing

Some things that help me are going outside, colouring and listening to music.
" And everywhere I am, there you'll be, your love made me make it through, oh I owe so much to you "
" So I say thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing, thanks for all the joy they're bringing, who can live without it, I ask in all honestly what would life be? Without a song or a dance, what are we? So I say thank you for the music, for giving it to me "
    '' It's a beautiful day and I can't stop myself from smiling "

Going outside, colouring & doodling (though I'm no Picasso) and music are great healers of stress

Same for music, so many songs ive heard which make me feel great but if I had 2 choose five they'd be Forget About Tomorrow by Feeder, New Shoes Pablo Nutini (I think I've spelt his name correctly), Just A Cloud Away Pharrell Williams, Metal Guru by T Rex and 2 Unlimited Get Ready For This. What are yours if u had to pick five?

    Wonderful thread!

As a big music junkie, I definitely have some albums and tracks I like to go back to. I also find writing quite therapeutic, sometimes in the form of a poem or article-type thing (that I'll likely never show anyone else), though usually just in the form of a massive rant/offloading session.

I love how some folks like to dig down in to some creative roots like colouring, Lego, etc. You're definitely never too old. :d
