Here's a thread for you to come and have a bake-off chat-a-long later... In the meantime, feel free to get the pie chat started.

What's your fave? I think mine would be a veggie option - something with goats cheese :yum:

Also, have you ever attempted to make a pie? I kind of have, but not with my own pastry, which I suspect means it doesn't count. :lol:

    I've made a chicken, bacon and leek pie before. It was delish. Was my lunch for a few days afterwards as well.

    I've made fish pie. Which is one of my favourites.

    I'm a fiend for pork pies and would love to make my own one day.

    I'm a bit pie fan. My favourite other pies are steak and ale and chicken and mushroom pukka pie from the chippy. Not a fan of shepherds or cottage pie. Bit too bland for me.

    I've made a chicken pie for the house before (even though I am veggie), made my pastry myself and everything. Was a very proud moment when it turned out okay! Obviously I didn't taste it but my carers said they loved it!

    I totally forgot about the non-pastry pies when I started this thread - used to make shepherds pie A LOT when I was at uni.
