Hopefully you're here because you've gotten better grades than you were expecting.

If so,

Congratulations!:thumb:

Adjustment is something you might be considering; put simply, you can apply to change course or university- meaning, if you got higher grades, you could try and apply to a university with higher course requirements. Check out this quick guide to see if this is something for you.

Ask yourself:

Should I enter clearing?

 Are you happy with your current choice?
 If you received higher than expected grades you may want to consider your options, there may be more opportunities available to you.
 Make sure you speak to people you trust and consider this decision clearly

Where would I apply?

UniStats has information on universities in the UK. Not only do they have course info but also student satistfaction, costs of accommodation and employment opportunities.
 You should consider all of these when making your decision.
 If you find a university you like then you should contact them as soon as possible to see if they can offer you a place (others may be after these spots!)
 Remember, if you don’t ask you don’t get!

How to go about Adjusting

 Check out the official UCAS guide Here which explains how to actually go about adjusting.
 It’s a good idea to contact universities you like the sound of, try calling them up directly (do a Google search for phone number, emailing may be too slow for the quick response you want).
 Ask careers advisors or school staff for their advice too, if you’re comfortable with this, as they may be able to give you more tailored suggestions.
 Don’t forget that universities will be keen to fill their spare places, so make sure you’re adjusting to somewhere well-suited to you and not to make hasty decisions.

Final Tips

 Talk to parents, guardians or people you trust. They might be just as excited or as flustered as you about your results, but stop and think things through, bearing in mind their advice but ultimately making your own decision.
 If you’re interested in somewhere but hesitant to make a move, push yourself to ring up and check. If you don’t ask, the answer will always be no. There will be other people seeking though!
 You can find more info and final tips here
