Gum clinic?

Hi,
So... My sexual health has recently come to my attention, and I'm looking for a gum clinic. The problem is, I'm not sure exactly where I can get tested? I've had a bad experience with my gp over other matters, but I'm not sure if I can get tested there? In a way it would be easier for me as it is closer, but I have no idea how I would go about it? Would I be able to get tested there?

Any pointers would be great, thanks

    You probably wouldnt get tested at your GP. A GUM is better, facilities, experienced specialists, the drugs (if you need them) are free.

    Thanks rubberskin, I won't bother with my gp. And thanks yellowseahorse, turns out my local gum clinic is the DRI. I'm in south east Derbyshire, and it's right in the city.
