Our friends at the Citizenship Foundation have let us know about this opportunity to be part of the Youth Budget and enter a competition along the way
Chance to be Chancellor is an opportunity for you to give your opinion on the UK’s economy – and win the Chance to be Youth Chancellor. Last year around 3000 young people contributed to the first ever Youth Budget. It was a formulated response to a request from George Osborne to hear more young people’s voices on the economy.
As the Chancellor what economic decisions would you make? What would your Budget for the country be? Which taxes will you levy on society? Where would you choose to spend the money you’ve raised? :chin:
Here is your chance to have your say ...
The Challenge: Step into the shoes of the Chancellor as you make decisions on spending and taxation using a new online tool. Your decisions will form the Youth Budget 2012. For a chance to win a national competition, make your case for them. You could win an iPad, visit the Treasury and make the news :thumb:
The competition is live until February 20th.To enter and be in with a chance of winning you need to be aged 14-18 and take the Challenge here: www.chancetobechancellor.org.uk
