Wig for work?

Maybe I'm being a bit silly here...

But I have lots of piercings I'm going to have to probably take out for work, and I have reasonably visable green stripes in my hair. I don't want to get rid of them because its taken so long to get them right and find a hairstyle thats me, and feels good.

Is the idea of wearing a wig to work really really weird, or a sensible alternative?

    Sounds like a good alternative if you can get a decent one.

    Nothing weird about it. People wear weaves all the time, the same principle.

    It might look a bit fake, depending on the quality of the wig you get. What about clip-in extensions to cover them?
