I've got an Xbox 360, a widescreen (non HD) TV with 2 scarts and a 3-socket audio/video input and the £40 5.1 surround speaker system from asda.
I'm having trouble setting it all up. Firstly the speaker set works fine.
I have my freeview box and xbox plugged in to the scarts.
I have a left and right phono (I think) plug set going in to the red and white audio input at the front of the tv.
I can hear a low-frequency hum coming from the speakers but all the tv/xbox sound still comes through the tv speakers.
What am I doing wrong?
