Free places in the British 10K London Run!

In the spirit of getting this seen by more people, I'm re-posting my thread from "Sport" in here as well......

I'm Cat, the Events Fundraiser for YouthNet (the charity behind TheSite.org).

Due to an administrative mix-up (:o ), we've got some places left over in the British 10K London Run and we'd love to fill them (with you guys) before tomorrow evening! Is there anyone out there who'd like to take part and represent TheSite.org as a runner?

The event's next Sunday, on 11th July, so you'll need to be able to run 10km by then and it's in London. It would be a shame to see these spots go to waste so if you're interested, please just PM me or email events@youthnet.org, scanning in a signed and filled in copy of this form. The first people to get in will get the race pack, and I'll sign you up tomorrow.

Whilst we're happy to give these places away, any donation would be gratefully recieved - we suggest £30 to cover the cost

Let me know if you're up for it!

Cat

If I didn't have a bad sprain and had 4 weeks to train... I'd probably sign up!

I can only run around 3-4K at the moment.

Nowhere near fit enough to do it, else I'd love to!

Is there a mailing list thesite has for this kind of thing? I'd love to be on it and then I'd be happy to run for you in the future.

We'd love to have you on the team another time! :d That was rather short notice, admittedly....

If you PM me, or email events@youthnet.org with your name and email address I can add you to our list - same goes for anyone else out there who'd be interested.

Oh I've done 10K before in under 40 minutes. I would love to do it again. Is there a age restriction?

Seconded - I can't seem to get my time under 1hr, no matter how hard I try! :crazyeyes

You can check out the pics from yesterday here. If anyone fancies running to raise funds for TheSite.org in the future, you can find out more on YouthNet's website. Next up - Royal Parks Half Marathon....
