Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Hey all  ; I'm maid of honour for a wedding this weekend and I'm putting together an emergency kit for the bride. Aim is to be prepared for any wedding-related, problematic eventuality....

So far I have:

Safety pins
Hair grips
Sewing kit
Painkillers
Tampons
Hairspray
Plasters
Vaseline
Cotton buds
Superglue
Compact mirror
A pen

Any other handy ideas?

    Painkillers
    Vaseline

    :naughty::D

Indigestion tablets/those Gaviscon sachets. Something sweet (small chocky bar(s), boiled sweets, glucose tablets. Fainting at weddings is often caused by low blood sugar.

My only thoughts are maybe something to help with nerves? Maybe a cool water spray to cool the overheating bride's face, maybe some Rennies or other antacids for nervous tummy, and maybe some emergency Kit-kats! :D Making sure there are provisions for a sugary drink would be a good idea, incase the poor girl gets a bit giddy.

Other than that I am all out of ides. Mebbes a pair of rollerskates in case she wants to leg it?

Good thinking, perhaps some Bach Rescue Remedy or something. Also nail file, nail scissors and clear nail varnish could be handy - and tissues. And how about some of those shine-blotting face powder sheets you can get? I think Neutrogena do some.

Baby wipes is a good one. Also chewing gum or breath mints.
