Squeeky mouse button

On my dad's laptop, the left mouse button is squeaking. Is there a way to fix it ourselves? Anyone know?

    Depending on make and mode, it's probably a 'sealed' unit so there might not be much you can do. Is it a newer, laser mouse? The old ball mouse type could be partially cleaned by taking the ball out underneath. Mice are pretty cheap these days so aren't really made to last, it would seem.

    It's because you're using a real mouse. You're pushing its kidneys and it squeaks in pain.
