hey,
I stopped self harm about 2 months ago and the scars havent faded that much as i thought they would, and are still pretty obvious. Was just wondering if anyone had any advice on how to get scars to fade better, like any products or anything like that. thanks x

Bio Oil is good, but it takes a while to work, though in the meantime you could use concealer to cover them.
wht can you do to cover them in the meantime if concealer dont work?
I think Boots do a specialised consultation where the person shows you different methods of hiding scars and marks with special camouflague makeup.
try to expose the scars to sunlight (not overly likely in this weather...) and let the air get to them. use bio-oil twice daily for three months and keep them well moisturised. you could use concealer or a thicker foundation to cover them as long as the skin is not at all broken. it can be really uncomfortable to have them on show but covering them up all the time might make healing slower.
yes i've tried camouflarge make-up and its really good. it takes a little while to get used to applying it and blending in the correct foundations together to make your skin tone. Its worth trying to see if its for you. For me it wasn't as i'd have to wake really early to do my face make-up let alone my arms!
let us know if it works if you try it

Thank you
im well confused?
I tried foundation and concealer and they worked at covering up my scars. but they made my skin really irritable and some of my scars after washing it off were very red and scratchy. I am gunna try other types of foundation to see if they have the same effect on my skin.
