Picnic ideas

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Hey,

As the weather is so beautiful I'm going for a picnic with my boyfriend in Regents Park after he finishes work.

I already bought some strawberries and am planning to take some malibu and innocent smoothy.

What other things should we get? I'm meeting him at Sainsbury's before we go. (I'm vegetarian by the way).

Ideas please!!

Doritos/nachos and dips? Also carrot sticks and other veg?
Sainsbury's usually has a salad bar don't they? You could get some nice pasta salads and coleslaw etc...maybe a baguette and some cheese...Greek yoghurt to have with the strawberries...man, I really want to have a picnic now.

I have no real additions, I'm just jealous! :( lol!

Sounds like a really wonderful idea and the weather is so nice right now too! I love London!

Hope it is an awesome picnic! :) Oh, but don't feed the ducks, they look innocent but they have plans to hijack the London Underground :crazyeyes

Do they have ducks in Regents Park? I'unno!

I went to Waterlow Park at lunchtime and feed the ducks there! There was a yellow gosling and baby coots too, it was great! Not sure about the duck situation at Regents Park though.

The picnic was lovely and went really well. We had hummous, pitta, quiche, cous cous salad, rainbow salad, strawberrys, quorn scotch eggs, olives with feta and some other things. We found some ducks and feed then the pitta bread. We even got a couple of canada geese to eat it out of our hands.

No, rennet is used in it's production but you can get vegetarian versions i would imagine like you can with cheddar etc

Now you ruined it for her! Ignorance is bliss, but now she cannot have her delicious mozzarella anymore.
