i wanted to take a gap year abroad, maybe go work in australia or something && i was wondering how do you do it cause i was looking on the web and all the sites seem to be a con, like you give them £1000 and they get you a job... i dono seems wrong but i was thinking just go there and find job in hotel or somthing as they may let you stay there...
i dono lol i dont want like work experience more just to see australia or wherever and get away from england basically, just work in a bar or something?

This article on gap years from our sister site Lifetracks.com has a lot of useful links and information to help you get started too.
We also have a section here on TheSite all about gap years which should help. Hopefully you'll get some replies from people who've actually done it too. Good luck and let us know how the planning goes :thumb:
How old are you? Do you really need to work to support yourself in that year? What experience do you have? Answer me those questions amigo and I'll try to help.
But roughly, I think you should apply for a working visa for Oz at their consulate - (google it. and get on the official Oz government site) - if that is what you want. You'll be able to find work over there.
Then book a round the world ticket through a specialist travel agent. Try and incorporate some Aisa and come back via Latin America not North America - it's cheaper and 30 times more interesting. You'll have enough experience by then to deal with it.
i dont want to do uni anymore and dont want to just sit on benefits lol so i wanna travel just seems hard to stay anywhere/get work
