Got her number...now what?

So I met this Italian girl last night. We got on really well and by the end of it, she told me that she was going back to Italy tomorrow, but returns to England next week and asked if I wanted to go on a date with her when she does. Then she gave me her Italian phone number.
I text her when I got in last night, saying that I hope she got home ok and that 'I'll see you soon?'. I haven't had a reply yet but I think her phone might have been in Italy or something because she didn't seem to have it on her.
Anyway, I'm not really sure what move to make now. Do I wait for her to reply? Call her? Text her? And if so, when?
One other problem, I kinda can't remember her name! :blush: It was something confusing and I was drunk.

    Yeah that's what I thought. Are you sure about calling? Not a text? I'd feel well awkward chatting on the phone! Ha, I hate talking on the phone.
    I think I'm going to ask for her full name so that I can add her on facebook...that way I'll find out without sounding like a douche bag. :thumb:

    Depends though, alot of girls i've met dont like chatting on the phone to people they've just met. I'd say just text for now. Good times though, she asked you to go on a date, win win :D

    agree, in that situation id much rather be texted than called. Not sure why, maybe its generational

    Definatly a text...I hate speaking on the phone and get all nervous!

    I'd give it a couple o days see if she replies and if she hasnt after the weekend then just send her another text :)

    Well she text me back. :) She wants to see me on Monday or Tuesday.

    Ideas please people. A meal? Drinks? When should I text her again, like Sunday?

    I'd say drinks first rather than a meal...I always feel a bit uncomfortable eating infront of people I don't know very well. You can always get nibbles in bars and that if you do fancy food. But going for a few drinks can make you both a bit more relaxed!

    Lol Bosh loads of drugs and get sweaty raving to Hardcore all night. Sounds awesome, but I can't imagine it'd be a great way to get to know a girl for her true self...not a loved up, gurning mess. :D

    Yeah kinda, I'm going out tomorrow with my mates and I said we'd meet up with her and her friends. Otherwise, we're going to organise something else.
