hi, im currently talking to someone on here who i think could possibly do with receiving some help.

so i was woundering what help is available for a person under the age of 16 to do with mental health, specificaly depression. the difficulty is that this person would realy like to avoid parental involvment. i dont know what can be done for someone that age , but when i went earlier this year (i was17 at the time) , i was refered to a child psycologist, and no perents were involved to my knowledge, however, i never stayed long enough for the acctual official assesment.

im not sure how i can help said person, and i would like to. can anyone offer me or them should they read this, any advice or any links to anything? im gonna see if i can find any info on here but anything else would be great, thank you.

    Hi Replar,

Sorry for such a brief reply - just wanted to quickly drop in and let you know about Young Minds - http://www.youngminds.org.uk/front-page which I think will be really relevant to you and your friend.

Also, don't forget about childline - really relevant for all kinds of issues and they've developed a lot of their online services recently - http://www.childline.org.uk/Pages/Home.aspx

Hope this helps and it's really great you're looking out for this person.

    Take care. :)
