Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let you know about a new survey we’ve put online. After much discussion here at TheSite.org towers, we’ve shortlisted four concepts for a new TheSite.org logo – and we need your help to make the final choice.
Head over to our survey, check out the options, vote for your favourite, leave us your comments there, and go in the draw to win an iPod nano. Whether you’re new to TheSite.org today or been here for years, we want to know your preference.
We’ll be closing the poll on Thursday 27 August, so don’t forget to vote.
Thanks for your help,
Tash

Me too. I like that one.
Out of those four number one is the best!
I went for 4 too.
Agreed. Although I picked 4, it was the clearest and most simple. There was too much going on in 1 and 2, and 3 looked too much like the Skype logo.
Thanks for your comments.
There are a couple of reasons why TheSite.org logo is changing. First of all, you may have heard that YouthNet, the charity which runs TheSite.org, will be launching Lifetracks.com later this year. As we expand, one of the things which ties together all our projects – TheSite.org, do-it.org.uk, Lifetracks and YouthNet itself – will be a common theme and font for our logos (check out do-it.org.uk next month for it’s new logo as well). We are also about to embark on a major fundraising campaign for TheSite.org, and the logo will also be one of the key visual elements for the appeal.
The second reason is more practical. The fading on the circle of the current logo means that it is often quite difficult to use. This is particularly the case on non-white backgrounds or when we want to screen print it on a t-shirt, etc. Therefore we’ve made the decision to move to a logo without this gradient. Hope this makes sense. Thanks again for taking part in the vote.

I think all the new contenders are better than the old one!
C-A x
The result was fairly conclusive, with 62% of all respondents going for option 1 (see link below).
Based on your feedback, we’ve made it clearer, changed the bubble a bit, and will be rolling it out in a range of colours across the internet (including TheSite.org) and our printed materials over the next couple of months. We’ll be using it in the current purple on TheSite.org soon, with the aim of bringing in the darker version when we next redesign the site. You can see the dark purple version of the logo and avatar up on TheSite.org’s Yahoo! Answers profile.
