How the fook does this work? If this does go mainstream, then I guess that notebook computers will be downsized even further than their current 'netbook' cousins.

It's a thicker page with a small screen and flash chip embedded in it. It works like a musical card.
There's nothing technologically amazing about it, we'll not get truly moving pictures in news papers e.t.c. until they've fully developed OLED technology.
