over a year ago i found out my dad was having an affair for over 9 years,
i found the texts on his phone,
my mum and dad are still together and my mum is clearly in denial about what has happened,
at the moment they are on holiday with my brother, and i recieved a text taht was clearly not meant for me, it was meant for my dads other woman
but my dad had promised all of us that it wasnt happening anymore
i dont know wether to confront him about this or not.? it causes to much heartache for not only me my family all together! :banghead:

You have every right to confront him - but be prepared for the fact that this will probably result in the breakdown of your parents' marriage.
You need to weigh up the personal effect it will have on you. Either you live with the burden of knowing of his deceit, or you lose your Dad being part of the family.
However, although this may sound harsh, a break up will give your Mum a chance to go out and find someone that loves and appreciates her - and will make her truly happy (which it sounds like she deserves).
Tough choices, hun, but only you can make the big decision. *hugs*
Sometimes people choose to ignore things- and so your mum may very well be choosing to ignore it for what she perceives as the greater good.
If you do something about it, why not go to your father first and see what he has to say about it?
