Is this normal?

I've been going out with my boyfriend for just over 1/2 a year now, and we often talk about things like marriage and children and our future. We are both 17 and in our first relationship.
Is this a normal thing to talk about after such a short time in being together? I have no problems with it but I am curious to see what other people in relationships think about this.

yes this is normal. In the sense of: teens do that.

It is pretty normal too, that they get "engaged", i.e. calling themselves engaged, because it's cool with no intent of getting married.

Last but not least it's pretty normal, that young couples, especially in the first relationships break up sooner or later and all those lovely promises go down the drain.
