Pirate Makeup & hair

It's my birthday next week so we're going out dressed as pirates.
I already have my costume but I have no idea how to do my hair or makeup!!
Any ideas (especially pictures!) would be really appreciated, thanks

    I don't know if it will work with your costume, since you didn't really say what it looked like...but hey at least it's an idea

    Yeah, I think the scarf in the hair thing's a good plan. I went out as a pirate for my mate's hen do and I curled my hair into ringlets then tied a skull & crossbones patterned scarf round my head, just behind my fringe. As for make-up, I just wore fairly normal going-out make-up I think. Red lipstick and heavy eyeliner/mascara will make you feel more wench-y though :D
